Master all the features of Pixora Viewer to instantly transform your media folders into high-smooth slideshows.
1. Quick Start in 4 Steps
Pixora Viewer was designed to provide a frictionless experience. No installation is required on your operating system to get started.
Open the player
Access pixoraviewer.com/viewer from any recent browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
Select a folder
Click the “Browse” or “Open Folder” button and select the folder on your computer that contains your photos and videos.
Adjust the duration
Use the horizontal slider in the top bar to choose the display time per image (from 1 to 60 seconds).
Enjoy the show
The slideshow automatically starts in full screen with smooth transition and intelligent video detection.
100% local and secure processing: Your browser's File System API allows Pixora to read your files directly from your hard drive or SD card without ever sending them over the Internet. Your privacy is 100% protected.
2. Complete table of keyboard shortcuts
For optimal comfort during family or professional presentations, you can control the entire player using the keyboard or using a presentation remote control:

| R / +90° | Clockwise rotation (+90°) | Rotates the current image 90 degrees to the right (clockwise). |
| L / -90° | Counterclockwise rotation (-90°) | Rotates the current image 90 degrees to the left. |
| F / F11 | Full screen | Enables or disables immersive borderless full-screen mode. |
| Échap | Stop / Exit | Stops the slideshow and returns to the player's home screen. |
3. Smart video management
Unlike traditional viewers that treat videos as simple static images, Pixora Viewer has a hybrid media playback engine:
- Automatic full playback: When a video (MP4, WebM, MOV) appears in your selection, the slideshow countdown automatically synchronizes to the actual duration of the video.
- Automatic transition to the next image: As soon as the video ends, the slideshow automatically resumes without interruption.
- Discreet audio controls: You can mute or unmute the video at any time.
A file will not open? Support depends on the format and, for video, on the codec inside it. Five pages detail the most common cases: AVIF, WebP, HEIC, MKV and MOV.
4. Performance optimization for 4K and 8K files
If you are browsing folders containing thousands of very high resolution photos (SLR cameras, exported RAW photos, modern smartphones):
- Smart Preload: Pixora preloads the next frame into buffer (WebGL/Canvas memory buffer) to remove any latency between two transitions.
- GPU hardware acceleration: All transitions and rotations use CSS3 3D transformations accelerated by your GPU.
- Optimized memory consumption: Memory objects (blobs) not displayed are automatically freed to avoid RAM saturation.
5. Use on smartphone and tablet
Pixora Viewer is fully responsive. On touch screen:
- Swipe: Swipe left to move to the next image, or right to go back.
- Suitable touch buttons: The bottom touch controls have a generous typing area for smooth finger manipulation.
