1. Are my photos and videos sent to your servers?
No, absolutely not. Pixora Viewer uses your browser's modern File System and HTML5 Media API. Reading, decoding and displaying your files is done exclusively locally in the memory of your computer or device. No media is uploaded, analyzed or stored on remote servers.
2. Do I need to install software to use Pixora Viewer?
No. Pixora Viewer works as a progressive web application directly accessible in your usual web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, Brave). Just open the site and select your media.
3. Is Pixora Viewer free?
Yes, Pixora Viewer is a 100% free service published by Swiss Core Tech. You can launch as many slideshows as you want without subscription or credit card.
4. What types of files can I view?
Pixora Viewer supports all common image formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG) as well as universal video containers (MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV). For technical details, see our format guide.
5. How to adjust the slideshow transition speed?
Once the player is open, there is an adjustable slider from 1 to 60 seconds in the top bar. You can adjust the duration in real time according to your preferences.
6. How to rotate a poorly oriented photo?
Use the dedicated rotation buttons (-90° and +90°) present in the bottom control bar, or simply press the R key on your keyboard.
7. Is it compatible with touch screens, smartphones and tablets?
Yes. Pixora Viewer is perfectly responsive and optimized for touch. You can swipe left or right to change images or use the enlarged touch buttons.
8. How does video playback work in the slideshow?
The player automatically detects the presence of a video in the sequence. It pauses the photo countdown, plays the entire video (with optional sound), then automatically advances to the next frame at the end of the clip.
